Xavier Pagès conducts the Sinaloa of the Arts
Orchestra

Xavier Pages is invited to conduct the third
concert of the autumn season of the Sinaloa of the Arts Symphony
Orchestra, at the Pablo de Villavicencio Theater of Culiacán,
Mexico. The program of the concert includes the full version of El
sombrero de tres picos and El Amor brujo of Manuel de Falla (with
the collaboration of the mezzo-soprano María Luisa Tamez), Catalonia
of Isaac Albéniz, and Capriccio Spagnol of Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
Collaboration with Cesc Gelabert in the
official celebration of the 11th of September

This year the Cobla Sant Jordi conducted by
Xavier Pagès, has collaborated in the official celebration of the "Diada",
accompanying Cesc Gelabert, a prestigious contemporary dancer.
In this celebration were present the main political presonalities of
Catalonia, included both Presidents of the Parliament and
Generalitat, and collaborated musicians such as Albert Guinovart,
Llibert Fortuny, Jordi Casas with the Chamber Choir of the Palau de
la Música Catalana, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Peret and Noa, and actors
like Rosa Novell, Montserrat Carulla, Enric Majó, Joan Ollé and Joan
Margarit.
Festival Castell de Peralada 2009

in a program of Catalan music in which dance has and important role.
Xavier Pagès with the Cobla Sant Jordi and Marcel Sabaté with the
Cobla City of Girona, accompany the Esbart Dansaire of Rubí, the
Company of Carles Ibáñez and Cesc Gelabert.

same concert his sardana Ceraunia is performed.

L'Auditori of Barcelona

Xavier Pagès conducts two of the three concerts
of the cobla music cycle co-produced by L'Auditori of Barcelona and
the Sant Jordi Cobla. On the 31st of January, he also premieres his
latest creation, a concerto work for flabiol and cobla.

respectively. On the 8th of November, the composer
Ramon Humet will
